I need to find a way to deal with stress better.
Currently I can't keep food down and can't sleep because I am so stressed out. My throat burns from the vomiting. Everything makes me want to cry or scream.
Here's a break down of my stress:
Grades- which are fine but I want to be better, I've had a few stumbles with midterms.
Money- who doesn't stress about this?
Friends- 2 of my friends are suddenly dropping out to join the Navy... nothing I know of lead up to this, it was VERY sudden
Weight- I've gotten better and have been eating better but am being ridiculous and wanting faster results than possible
Possible solutions-
Turning off the computer for a few hours everyday- I seem to be more stressed after using the computer
Start projects as soon as they're assigned- procrastination is never good for stress
Physical activity- getting to the gym a few days a week
Letting some goals slide to a reasonable point- obviously getting a job right now isn't going to be as easy as I wish and I'm not going to drop 10lbs in a week.
Suggestions are needed if you have something to add!
Thanks.
exercise every day if you are stressed. Endorphin release is a good thing. Have a plan for school work, starting off early is the best thing ever. Took me until I was in nursing school to figure that out, guess what I became an honor student.
ReplyDeletetake a walk, join a volunteer organization. As far as friends joining the navy - well sometimes the money issue forces people to take alternate means of getting an education. The GI Bill is an awesome benefit and the education from the navy in a career is comparable to a lot of a schooling. Plus they get to travel overseas, earn a paycheck and then get VA benefits for the rest of their lives. It is not a choice for everyone, but in this economy it can seem very attractive. Be supportive of their choice. As far as your stress, well I'm sorry that you are having such a tough time - I though WSU was going to be easier for you. Consider joining a campus club of some sort - you'll meet new people and have something beides school work on your mind. Looks good on a resume after you're done with school too!
