Pitbulls (Posting rated R for language)

Pitbulls.
There is no animal on this earth I despise as much the pitbull.
I got an invite to support a cause... someone shot two pitbulls "in the middle of the neighborhood". I stand by the guy who shot the damn dogs. Why were they in the middle of the neighborhood? Why weren't they under control or in a back yard?!
"They didn't attack him" PITBULLS ARE BRED TO ATTACK. Its in their DNA.
I'm sure there is a sweet pitbull out there but I have no need to meet it.
My biggest reason to get my concealed weapons license is because of pitbulls.
More than once have I been charged walking down the street, on a trail, ect. There's nothing ok about me not being able to walk out in the world without worrying when the next stupid ass owner wont have their dog on a f*cking leash.
If your dog is well behaved and STAYS WITH YOU I have no issue with your dog being off a leash, but any aggressive behavior means they need to be leashed and preferably kept in your back yard.
I don't want to fear for my future children's safety because your "sweet baby" dog is going to turn around and attack my child. I'll put your f*cking dog down with my two bare hands if it attacks me or anyone I love.
So here's the bottom line, train your pitbull, socialize it, keep it under control, and wow no problems!!!!

That's my rant.
Thanks.

No... your sweet little pitbull could never look like this... YOU DUMBASS

Breaking news/ new christmas wish

PHONE DIES TRAGICALLY IN CAT/WATER INCIDENT
Yes, that is the headline! My phone took a dive while the cat played with it and I am now phoneless. This wouldn't be that big of a deal except.....
MY PHONE IS MY LIFE
I know that sounds stupid but all my phone numbers are in it AND I can't call long distance with my home phone which means I'm completely cut off from friends and family until further notice.
MY NEW CHRISTMAS WISH IS....
A enV2/3/4 for christmas. I'd be happy with just an enV. I know they're spendy but that's all I want is a phone. It'd be perfect.
The carhartt can wait till my birthday.
Ok
Here's it without all the other junk.
Christmas- enV cell phone
Birthday- carhartt (here's the exact one I'd like but I'm not picky)
mens medium, dark colored -black or brown-

Thank you for tuning in for this breaking new bulletin!

A promise kept

So I told you I'd blog again and so I shall.
These few days here in pullman with David have been amazing. Just to be able to chill, and not worry about really anything.
Rissy (my cat) and I drove out on Tuesday, it was a nice drive, nothing too exciting. Although Lookout pass on the Idaho side sucked and I was stuck on the side of the road for 30 minutes waiting for conditions to clear up. It wasn't that exciting. We got in to pullman fairly early, and spent the night relaxing.
Wednesday we did, well nothing, which was amazing. So nice not to have any obligations or school work. I loved every second of it. I took a nap and enjoyed just being with David.
Thanksgiving.... I bet you are all wondering about this day... yes... well! I didn't fail! YAY!! I roasted a nice little 6 pound chicken (there were only two of us eating) and stuffed it. Mmm it was delicious, moist and wonderful! The green bean casserole was excellent (can't really screw that up though). Mash potatoes... well I cheated and made instant but there were still okay. I made myself half an acorn squash and thoroughly enjoyed it, David missed out! The rolls were good too. It was so much fun and I was so happy it all went so well!
And then there was black Friday! David and I drove up to Coeur D Alene for the day and enjoyed the town (much better than pullman or moscow). We walked the mall, visited my Aunt and Uncle, and walked the downtown area. It was a lot of fun! It was nice to have a day away from the apartment. I kinda wish we had stayed for the parade but it was getting crazy when we left a couple hours before the parade even started! David was able to find the two video games he really wanted for good prices at a black friday sale (Yay?) and is playing Borderlands as I write.
Tomorrow is my last day here and I am hoping we get one more day of relaxing. I know we'll have to do some cleaning since we've been lazy on the picking up after ourselves part! Oh well it was so worth it...
I leave Sunday morning so I'll write again maybe that night or sometime in the next week (no promises).
I'm so excited the Christmas season has begun!!! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all!!!

last week

Last week I had a friend from seattle in town and it was awesome!!!!
Of course it snowed and there's lots of snow on the ground, Nic loved it. We mostly chilled and did almost nothing. Saturday night we went to a movie (District 9) then went Cosmic bowling. All on campus! It was awesome we had so much fun just chilling!
It was really nice not to a be alone all the time for once.
Thank you Nic for flying out to see me on your week off!
Its now thanksgiving week and i have one more day of class before "vacation". I'm driving to pullman for thanksgiving to spend it with David. I'm very excited.
I'll blog again before the week is up!

My letter of resignation

To Whom It May Concern:

This is my letter of resignation. Thank you for all the time you've put into making me who I am now and your dedication to pushing me to the next level. I am sad to say I can no longer do this and must do what's best for me. And with that I resign from adulthood and will be returning to being a child. Preferably age 6.

The push to adulthood has been too much for me at this point in my life. I will be returning to the days when money was mom and dad's issue, school was fun, and my biggest problem was the bully at school who made fun of my t-shirt. I'll be going back to the days when food was on the table and hunger never struck, when my greatest joy was playing with my Kirsten doll, and the idea of being independent was still amazing.

I appreciate your understanding in this matter. Thank you again for everything you've done for me.

Respectfully,

Kirsten Nelson

I took Narissa with me to Pullman she did so well in the car for 7 hours each way. I never had an issue. Took some pretty funny pictures though!

Shooting

I love shooting!!!

Trigger Time

I got to go out and shoot a little bit tonight and it was wonderful. Nothing gets rid of stress like shooting at a piece of plywood. Excellent!
I would love to own a Kimber 1911 compact. That would be amazing on so many different levels.
Today I also called all my girl scout parents and learned that I've already lost one girl. So now we're down to 7. I suppose that's okay. I'll keep everyone updated on the excitingness (yes i made that word up) of girl scout as we get going!

Back to the Girl Scouts

Yep, I've returned to the Girl Scouts, but this time I'm a troop leader!!!
Yay!!!
I'm leading a Brownie Troop of 8 2nd grade girls.
I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta get planning, my first meeting is hopefully going to be the 28th!
Halloween and Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low's birthday! Double party!
Its going to be a lot of fun.
If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!!!

BTW: Some of you heard that my kitty Mitzi wasn't doing very well. Thank you Heart of the Valley for making my kitty all better without charging me!!!

Pre-Halloween

Halloween is coming!!!!
Yay!!!
I have a silly affinity for Halloween, not sure why, but I do.
I'd really like to be in Pullman this year for Halloween but we'll see if I actually get to go.
Blegh money.
Oh well.
If I go to Pullman I won't dress up, but if I stay I might.
I think Alice from Alice in Wonderland would be fun to dress up as! Not slutty Alice, just regular Alice.
I hate how people have decided that Halloween means women should dress up as sluts... I mean really come on!!!!
Urgh. Oh well.
Narissa has come to cuddle so I shall go and cuddle with her.
Good night all!

Reality Check

Ok so I got a bit of a reality check this weekend when I got the results of my Chem Exam back. I didn't do very well. And I have a large exam in Sociology tomorrow that I don't feel totally ready for. I hate that. So I've revamped my schedule so I can study better and more. I refuse to feel like this anymore.
My friend Kim and I have similar schedules and she has fantastic study habits. She's offered to help me and I'm so thankful. I'll go to my morning classes, study with Kim. Kim has class at 2 so I'll study from 11-2 and head to the gym at 2 and work out for an hour. At three I'll decide whether or not I should continue to study or go home. I think its a good plan, and hopefully my sleep pattern will fix itself with the higher level amount of activity (exercise everyday).
This also means I need to make myself lunch everyday... wish me luck! Haha. Making lunch isn't my strong point.
ZUMBA STARTS ON TUESDAY!!! SO HAPPY!!!

The weekend

The weekend has come and quickly is trying to escape my grasps.
Last night I enjoyed the Cat/Griz volleyball game, which we sadly lost (0-3). It was disappointing but we didn't get stomped. I got a free t-shirt out of the deal, and got to chill out with Kim for most of the night.
Today I got my butt out of bed and went to the gym, nothing exciting. But I am proud of myself for getting to the gym on a Saturday!!!
Got my living room curtains up yesterday, still need to finish painting my living room... hopefully I'll get a friend to help me out. Kim was kind enough to hang out with me while I was cleaning yesterday. She was my "slave driver" even though all she did was talk and read a magazine. Amazing!!!
Big test in sociology on monday! Doing lots of studying! Help me!!!

Oh and Zumba is a type of latin dance work out.

Weddings in Seattle

David's older sister got married yesterday, it was a great ceremony and a pretty good reception (a little loud for me!). She looked so beautiful. I can't wait to get married!
I've posted pictures on my photo album (link on right)
Yeah I know I'm young, enjoy the time I have... Got it!
I had a great time in Seattle this weekend, got to see a lot of people and tried to cram too much in to the two days I had!
Got to see some really good friends, TWINSIE!, Katie, and spend time with my mom. Got to see Aunt Lynda and her husband. It was cool to see so many people, next time I'm going to take it a little more chill though.
I have to do some grocery shopping so I'll write again later.

AMR, Fish, and Seattle

So I took my test for AMR today, cross your fingers. I thought I did well but we'll see! I have about 50 baby fish in my tank now, I found someone who will take them and sell them off. No money out of it for me (that's illegal because I don't have my breeding license).
Classes are going well, nothing exciting yet!
Friday I'm flying to Seattle for David's sister's wedding. I'm really excited, it's been months since I've been back to my parent's house. I'll only be out there for the weekend but I'll make it worth it!
Let you know how it goes when I get back!

Day one... survived!

I survived my first 8am class. I love being a full time student!!! It is amazing!!!
I've got lots of homework so this blog wont be too long. The two professors I've had so far have been really cool middle aged men. I'm excited for their classes (Chem and Sociology).
Haven't really met anyone new yet. I have chem with a friend from last year. I introduced myself to a woman in my soc class but she didn't seem that interested (she was easily 2 or 3 years older than me). I made an attempt!
My chem class has 250 people in it, while my soc class has 221(capacity). Its crazy to be in a lecture hall (I didn't have any lectures last year).
Being done with class by 11am rocks!!!
My online nursing class seems like it will be a lot of work, but not unreasonable.
Tomorrow is Statistics, and Human Lifespan Development. I get done at 12:15!
I've also made a vow to my self to get into great shape this year, I'm going to take a couple of fitness classes at the gym including: two days of Yoga (Monday/Saturday), one night of Zumba(Tuesdays), and a 30 minute "Ab Lab" on Fridays. I'm most excited for Zumba, which is essentially a dance class. Its going to be a lot of fun, and hopefully I'll be a lot healthier!
I'll update again by the end of the week so everyone knows I survived!

Pullman

Hey everyone,
I'm in Pullman WA, have been since Wednesday! It's been fun helping David and his roommates set up their new apartment. Classes start on Monday for them, next Monday for me.
Sorry I don't have a lot to say, just thought I'd update everyone.
Love to all.

In town

EVERYONE IS IN TOWN!!!
Mom and dad. Lars. David. Grandma & Grandpa.
I don't know what to do with myself. There's so many people in town!!!
Grandma told me I was fat... I know I've gained some weight but I've been struggling to get it off. I hate that. I know I'm not skinny. But since when is being a little bit heavy the end of the world.
Apparently I'm going to end up like my Grandma's aunts, 6 foot, 180lbs, wearing a size 12. Sorry I'm not 5 foot 1 inch like you are grandma... Sorry I'm a behemoth... my freaking bad.
I was confident in my self, but now not so much...

Obama, books, and chocolate cake

Obama is coming into town tomorrow and I was so excited to see him, but its all so stressful and GAH!!!!!! So I won't be going because I was too late to get anything done when it comes to going. I'm disappointed but I WILL SEE THIS PRESIDENT SPEAK... someday.
I get to buy all my school books and supplies tomorrow! And I paid my tuition tonight! HURRAY!!! I feel the stress ebbing away!
Chocolate cake sounds amazing, doesn't it?!

Brother In Town

So Lars flew in today to have a fun week with David and I.
So far we've played video games and sweated in the heat...
Yeah...
We're going to go floating down the river in the next couple of days, and we'll hit up the museum, maybe hike the M. I dunno! We'll see.

Work

Well work comes and goes as you all know and it seems my Safeway job has gone. Not that I can complain that I'm disappointed other than the whole money thing but I figure this gives me more incentive to get my ass in high gear to get my EMT crap moving.
I know the economy is hard on all of us, and I know haggling has totally come back... but for god's sake people you can only haggle a $.35 pop down so much, oh wait, not at all! When the competitor is at $1.00 or $.50 and the Safeway brand is at $.35 I don't know what leverage you have! We get a lot of people who haggle produce, meat, bakery goods and flowers. Those all make sense!!! I can understand that, but things like pop and frozen dinners. Come on...
Well that's my rant.
I'm very excited, my boys are in town this weekend and Lars will be here tomorrow!!! It'll be a lot of fun! We're going to float the river (weather permitting) and do some pretty cool things, maybe hike the M.
I'll update by the end of the week! BYE!

IT'S HAPPENING!

OK, so the zombie Apocalypse isn't really happening... but there were easily 100 zombies walking down main street tonight!
Tonight was the first annual Bozeman Zombie Walk. It was totally cool to watch. People of all ages turned out from young kids to old men. Some were really really cool and others were half hearted. I'll post my favorite pictures at the end!
Next year I may just have to participate since it was so cool.
Anyways, I have to work in the morning so I'm off to bed. All the pictures I took are in my photo album! (on the left under links)
Enjoy the pictures!

Zombie Bride led the procession

So much for christmas this year... Santa's a zombie!

Yes there was even a Jesus... since technically Jesus did rise from the dead it makes him a zombie... Yes it is blasphemy, but it was hilarious!

Long time no talk....

I have internet in my apartment!!! Its amazing!!!
Lets see what else is new...
I have a job at Safeway to help pay rent (Which it doesn't really do...)
I've been to Yellowstone 4 times this summer.
I'm excited to start classes this fall on a full schedule!
Too be honest my summer has been extremely boring. I've had a lot of days of just chilling out, which is really ok for me.
I'll write again soon, I promise!

Life on my own

Living on my own, without roommates or family, has been an enlightening experience. Trying to figure out meals, best way to lower energy costs, and how to keep cool when the temperature spikes at 90* is exciting.
Today knowing how warm it was going to be I've spent my entire day at the public library, soaking up their air conditioning and enjoying having internet again.
Without much furniture yet by apartment is organized as such:
Kitchen: no dining room table but 4 folding chairs... nothing special.
Living room: inflatable mattress, book shelf, world's ugliest chair, tv, tv stand... my living room is doubling as my bedroom for now
Bedroom: 4 tubs of clothes, artwork, and a metal bed frame.
Kitty and I are adapting fine to the hodge podge of the apartment, but I can honestly say I can't wait till by parents arrive this weekend!!!

Being a giraffe with low self esteem

I've once again earned the nick name "giraffe". Why you may ask? Well for the obvious reasons of ridiculously long legs I've also been graced with the longest neck in my EMT class... Yes, of the 15 people in the class, me being the only woman, I have the longest neck. Might I also add that I'm about average in my class when it comes to height. How did we find this out? Well c-collars are adjustable with a couple of settings:
No neck
Short
Regular
Long
You'll never guess which one I ended up in! Yes, long... so my loving teacher laughed and called me a giraffe and it stuck.
I try so hard to embrace being tall... but sometimes its hard as hell to do. Shopping is the worst. Buying pants is impossible, and shirts with long enough sleeves is hard too. I was goofing off with some girl friends looking at wedding dresses in a local store, the lady there estimated that it was going to cost over $1000 for me to get a dress that fit my funky proportions.
I hate having to look down to talk to people, it feels disrespectful, especially when it's a professor.
I want to embrace and love myself but its really hard...

I can't wait to be in Seattle next weekend!!! Its friday night so I'm gonna make this short, because well.. there is fun to be had!!!

Good bye is for forever

Last night three people left this world after a reckless motorcycle cut them off on the freeway.
Alice died en-route to the hospital
Kylie, her 7 month old daughter died at 2 am, after a valiant struggle with major trauma to her little body.
John, her fiance and Kylie's daddy, died this morning from "Unknown" causes, he died of a broken heart as far as I can understand it.

This family was the definition of the American dream.
John, 20, worked two jobs to support his young family. He loved Alice and Kylie beyond anything any of us could ever imagine. I didn't know John very well, but he was a loving fiance and a loving father.
Alice, 19, dreamed of being a nurse but dropped out of school when Kylie was born. She always planned to go back to school and become a trauma nurse. She loved Kylie and John with everything she had.
Kylie, 7 months, was a happy baby who rarely cried. We'll never know her potential, but here Mommy and Daddy loved her more than anything in this world.

We never want goodbye to be forever... but that day I helped pack Alice and Kylie's stuff into the little sedan and said goodbye so she could return to Billings... That goodbye was forever.
I'm struggling with what faith I had. I can't grasp the idea of a "loving God" or any of that. This family was young, and had never done a damn thing wrong. They loved each other, they went to church every Sunday, and they loved their little girl with everything they had. I don't get it. I just dont.

Fairwell

Today a friend of mine was killed in tragic car accident.
Alice was driving her sedan with her fiance and 7 month of baby girl in the car, when a motorcyclist cut in front of her. Alice swerved to miss the motorcyclist and ended up rolling her car 4 times. Alice died shortly after arriving at the hospital, her fiance is in stable condition and her baby girl, Kylie, is in critical condition.
The doctors have little hope for Kylie. They don't even think that she'll make it through the night.
Please pray for baby Kylie.
Alice's fiance, John, will be crushed enough to loose Alice, but for him to loose his pride and joy too... I don't know if he'll survive it.
Please add Kylie to your prayers tonight...

First Apartment

Hey everyone,
I've registered at both Target.com and Walmart.com for things I need for my new apartment. Search "Kirsten Nelson" and it will come up. Even the littlest thing or gift card will help. I have no furniture, no dishes, nothing.
My apartment is 1 bedroom (no roommates) in an old 1940's triplex. I'm very excited about this!
I'll post pictures tonight in my photo album.
This is my first apartment so the likely hood of me missing the little things I need are huge. I'm gonna try and pick up furniture via free/cheap adds in the paper and craigslist.com.
I'd really like a futon, so if anyone has one they don't want, well just let me know! Or any other furniture for that matter.
Thanks everyone!
Love
Kirsten

Apartment!

YAY I HAVE SOMEWHERE TO LIVE THIS SUMMER!!! WOOHOO!!!
Yesterday I signed a lease for my new apartment along with my two new roommates, Shianne and Logan.
It's 2 bedroom 1 bath; really nice, and very cute! I'm so excited. Move in is May 7th! Which perfectly coincides with Finals week. Lucky for me I have only one final!
My roommates have furniture, all I need is my bedroom stuff! My hope is mom and dad will drive my stuff out here, because they love me!!!! *winkwink* Shianne is also bringing a 150 gallon fish tank! How crazy is that?! Of course my hamster Romeo will be coming out to live with me now, and a cat may come into play next fall. It all depends on finances of course and whether its economically responsible to pay $800 to have a cat in the apartment... So we'll see, I'd really love to have a cat or small dog around, but that's just me. This is a long term apartment so maybe next year or the year after?!
I'll let everyone know what the new address is sometimes in early May hopefully!
xoxo

UPDATE:
THESE ROOMMATES DITCHED ME...

Silly Poem

It's 1am on Saturday night/Sunday morning. I'm watching Dirty Jobs, eating "dinner" (lean pocket) and chatting online with friends in Seattle... OH AND WRITING SILLY POETRY!!!

Stripped Socks

Stripes on my socks,
Warm,

Fuzzy,
Wool,
Socks on my feet!!!

My Pink High Heels
Hot pink,
Spikey heel,
My pink heels are great,
Make me feel so hot,
Clicking,
Tripping,
There I go doing my best to walk,
Down I go into snow,
"ouch!"
"my ankle!"
People laugh at me,
Maybe my pink high heels ain't worth it.

Spring break 2009 & other updates!!!!

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't written in a while, its been so busy!!!
Spring break was awesome! Not Cancun or anything, but still lots of fun and lots of outdoors!Lots of smiles and lots of pictures!
http://bozemanadventurepictures.shutterfly.com
This is a link to my new photo album so I can post pictures and keep everyone in the loop with my pictures too!!! You can find this address permanently under the "links" on the side bar.
Ok, so spring break I:
-Drove to Pullman to get David then drove back to Bozeman, stopping in Coeur D' Alene for a world famous Hudson burger. We also stopped in Bear Mouth to be adventurers and find the pictographs dad once took me to. We couldn't find them.
-On Saint Patrick's Day David and I drove out to the Crow Agency and spent a day at the Little Big Horn Battlefield. It was an incredibly beautiful day and the sky was so blue and it was almost warm. We saw some beautiful wild horses and drove over to the Reno-Benteen battlefield also, just 4 miles east of Little Big Horn.
-Spent the week with the Vosler family, and enjoyed just chilling with their kids.
-On that Friday we joined the Vosler family in a trip to Yellowstone National Park. We drove down to Gardener on Thursday night. David and I got a hotel room at the Abaroska Lodge and had a gorgeous view out on to the Yellowstone River. We spent Friday in the park and explored Mammoth Hot Springs, the Lamar Valley, and enjoyed a delicious lunch in Cooke City (best chicken wings EVER). We saw lots of buffalo and elk, a few sheep, and all hoped and prayed for a wolf sighting (to no avail).
-At the end of the week David and I drove back to Pullman (stopped in Coeur D' Alene again for another burger or two) so David could get to work on Saturday night.
-On Monday I drove back to Bozeman alone. It was a sad goodbye but I made it back to Bozeman in one piece. Being me I had to find those pictographs I remember so vividly from my childhood. I pulled off at Bear Mouth and searched for them again. After 45 minutes of searching I found them! Of course I looked for them in the wrong spot for 30 minutes, encountered a barbed wire fence, climbed up a very unstable rock face, and was an all around crazy kid in the backwoods of Montana. After giving up and climbing back over the barbed wire fence I got back in my truck and drove a little farther, as I was looking out the window low and behold what do I see? The pictographs staring me right in the face... What a rush I got climbing through the little wooded area and up the rock bank, and coming face to face with the ancient drawings. It was beautiful. Pictures are posted in my album!
This week has been pretty crazy too, I started my EMT-b class. It's going to be difficult but really fun, I can tell already. I'm hoping my equipment gets here soon!!! I need it starting Sunday! Well cross your fingers for me! I'm going to go study CPR!

Main Street Update & other things

Main Street:
Still in pieces...
Most stores (those not destroyed) have re-opened and are cleaning up after the blast. All the buildings around the blast had to be inspected to make sure they didn't collapse too.
A body was recovered, just one. They haven't identified it. We've all assumed its was the one unaccounted for person.
White Hall (town not too far from here) also decided to burn down multiple Main Street stores on Friday (the Bozeman blast was on Thursday).
God hates southwestern Montana is what my seminar class has decided. Its too bad too, I mean SW Montana is beautiful!
Other things:
-I can't get warm. It doesn't matter what I do I'm always cold. I sleep with a wool blanket, two fleece blankets, and my super thick blanket from japan. It's ridiculous. I'm not sick.. but I can't get warm. My roommate claims its too hot in the room and sleeps without blankets. What's my problem?
-Spring break is only a couple of days away! As much as I'd like to be one of the girls headed to Cancun, I'm not. Instead I'll be driving to Pullman, then driving back with David. Spending the week here in Bozeman. Then at the end of the week driving back to Pullman and then back to Bozeman alone. In between the driving to Pullman and back David and I are going to Yellowstone and Little Bighorn. We may take a walk down Main Street even.
-Big lesson of the week:
When bargain hunting for weekend groceries don't buy milk in a carton and don't buy the cheap frozen macaroni!
Let me explain... When you buy milk in a carton instead of jug it has a funny cardboard taste and isn't quite as milky delicious like milk should be! And macaroni... well we all know Stouffers microwave macaroni and cheese is cheesy and delicious correct? (correct!) We also know that its a little spendy at $4.00 a box (a single serving can last me about 1 meal and a snack). Well Safeway thinks they're so tricky selling their own version of the macaroni and cheese... BUT IT SUCKS. Go ahead and buy the cheap generic pop, or deoderant,
But whatever you do, DON'T BUY GENERIC MACARONI!!!
I hope you can all learn from my mistake of buying generic macaroni...

Buh-bye Main Street

So a large chunk of Main Street Bozeman is now gone. Boodles, the Rockin R Bar, and a couple other buildings have been destroyed due to a gas line explosion. As of right now there is one person unaccounted for. Three blocks of main street are closed and a 20 block radius from the area has been evacuated.
Here's the cnn link:

I'm ok, so don't worry about me! Lets hope we can rebuild in time for summer tourism.

Snowy Windy Blizzardy Night

It's Wednesday night and there's not a lot to do. There's really been nothing new in my life since the last time I wrote. I spent Valentines day weekend in Pullman with David but other than that not a lot has occurred in the almost month I haven't written. Tonight the snow just keeps coming down and the wind keeps blowing. My roommate is out braving the cold so she can go play racket ball with her new love interest. She's so much more athletic then I am, I'm almost jealous. I say almost. I tend to be a better student then she is. We all have our abilities, she's athletic, I'm academically inclined.
I hope to hear from everyone!

Excellent Saturday Night

So saturday night out with friends was so much fun. We went to "Late Night" in the rec center! Basically what "Late Night" is, is you pay $5 at the door and you have unlimitted access to bowling, pool, shuffle board, video games, pizza, and pop. It was so much fun!!! I went with two friends and played about 5 games of bowling, and learned how to play billiards, which was really cool. We had so much fun! We goofed off while bowling: laying down, under the legs, ect. It was amazing!!! Jessica even got a strike throwing it between her legs backwards! Last game we played I got four strikes!!! It was awesome!!!

Work...

So I'm currently working at bath and body works at minimum wage ($6.62 an hour) and the pay sucks but I love working there... And I end up doing great displays!!! (See picture) and I get applauded on their effectiveness when it comes to sales! But it's not bringing in the income needed so I've decided to apply to some other places.
The little stores aren't hiring so I've given in and gone and applied at the big names: Petsmart, Ross, Wal-mart, and K-mart... Please don't disown me!!! I have an interview at K-mart on the 31st. We'll see how that works out! Wish me luck!
I also thought I'd share a photo I took with all of you. Made me laugh!!!

Talk to you all later!!!

College fun

Last night was the much anticipated Jeff Dunham show. It was AMAZING and hilarious!!! I laughed till I cried. I was amazing. Lots of pictures were taken, and I'll post a couple at the end.
I also got my hair cut, not short like anticipated but I took 4 inches off, it's all I could... I chickened last minute. Atleast now it's manageable and pretty again.
Tonight I have Judicial Board training... wish me luck. I hope this is atleast a little bit fun, not that punishing fellow students is fun, but hopefully I'll make some friends!
My crab claw just keeps getting bigger! I hope he ddoesn't grow out of his tank, that would be bad, they told me he wouldn't get much bigger then an inch across, he's almosts 2 now. Eek!

The group (minus nick) with our mascot, Go Bobcats!!!

Peanut(my favorite!), and Jeff Dunham!!!
YAY!!!
*Youtube it!!!*

Nick, Jessia and I after the show.

Inaguration Freak Out

So as we all know, today is the historical day that will be forever remembered in my generations life time, the first colored president. Trust me, I'm just as glad as the next person that this barrier has been broken, and I feel that Obama is one of the best people who could have done it. I will admitt though I'm a little disapointed we still haven't had a woman as president. Oh well.
I had classes today which means I had to walk across campus. To my amazement there was graffiti, protesters, and advocates all standing along the mall (the main walk through campus). Chalk graffiti was scrawled outside of pretty much every building, all Anti Obama. People held signs with anti obama slogans...of course being in Montana people are freaking out about their gun rights. All I can say to that is, HE HAS MORE IMPORTANT THINGS ON HIS AGENDA THAN THE 2ND AMENDMENT!!! I mean, war, recession, ect doesn't that take priority before stripping the consititution? Not that he will but I'm just saying.
The sign I found most interesting was "BUSH3". Confused by this I had to stop and ask the man holding it what it ment. He said "He's just another pawn of the original bush administration" I did all I could to laugh and walked away. Wow.
I guess I didnt ever really think about how much controversy this would all cause...

Wow...

So last night my RA (resident advisor) for my floor in the dorm aproached me asking if I would be interested in the VP position for our floor. Well, of course I took it!!!
Being "VP" of the 8th floor means I serve on discipliary comittee (our judicial system) and help the RA plan activites ect. I'm so excited to be involved!!!

Woo Weekend!!!

So the weekend has come, and is nearly over! Well, theres no class tomorrow for MLK Day, so we've got one more day.
Lets see whats happened this weekend.
Hung out with friends friday night! I was so excited to hav my first "big" social experience of college! We watched movies, ate popcorn, and did college "things"! It was so much fun. It was cool because the friends I was with are a couple who live in my dorm. The girl lives on my floor, and her boyfriend lives on the 2nd floor (I live on the 8th floor). We enjoyed watching two comedians and a movie. Stayed up till 3am when i left to go back up to my room. Well when I got back to my room I was all hyped up from all the candy and pop that I was up till 6am. To say the least my sleep cycle got a little screwey. Saturday I got up at 10am, went back to sleep at about 11am got back up at 4pm when my friends came by to see what I wanted to do. It was pretty sweet. Saturday night was the same deal, but I got up at about 12am. Got to bed around 3.
I applied for a job at the local hospital this weekend. The job title is "Switch board operator". I'm hoping for a call this week!! WISH ME LUCK!!!
Worked tonight!!! It was pretty exciting to finally have another shift at Bath and Body Works. BY THE WAY IF ANYONE WANTS BATH AND BODY WORKS PRODUCTS: BUY NOW!!! There's new packaging, so all the old stuff is super cheap right now! Anyways, so we're redoing all the floorsets and putting up all the new packaging and pulling down all the old ones. Out of no where one of the girls tosses a bottle of body spray into a box on the shelf infront of me, of course it explodes. I'm covered in this god awful body spray that I already hated the smell of (Sea Island Cotton). Can I just say that body spray burns the eyes and the skin around the eyes like nothing else in this world... Oh my god it hurt so bad. I ran into the bathroom and washed out my eyes. Well I then reeked of this god awful body spray... so I went home, the windows down (it's like 20* outside!) in my truck. I finally get up to the shower, and of course no matter how many times I wash my hair I can't get the smell out. So as I sit here and write the smell of Sea Island Cotton haunts me and my head continues to pound no matter how much Naproxen I take.
So tomorrows plans of going to Yellowstone National Park have been put on hold because of weather. I'll get down there eventually!!! Sounds like Jessica and I are going to have a girls day, which will be fun. We'll probably scrap book.. I've got so many pictures to get scrap booked away!
Well thats all I have to say for now! Hugs and kisses to all!

First Day of Classes

Today I had both of my classes (yes I'm only taking two and I feel like a slacker). They both went well. My math class is well math... boring. I'll hopefully be done in about 4 weeks. I'll keep you posted. My other class is "University Seminar". Basically, we learn how to speak and read critically. Meh. But it'll be ok I think. I have 100 pages of Plato to read this weekend! Wooho!!! Hahaha. Ok, maybe I'm not really that excited but I don't think it will be that bad.
So here's something totally cool: I bought a book first semester for about $13, I sold it back to the Bookstore, they gave me $17!!! Who knew books gained value!!! Water damaged and all!!! Well I thought that was cool because then I could afford to buy my Plato book!
Today, has been a day of money... I sold my fridge to a friend and he payed me for it today. $80!!! Yay for money! It's all going into my savings so its going to good use eventually.
Lets see... anything else?
OH YEAH!
I'm cutting my hair again. Short. Like Sophomore year of high school short. I'm really excited. It'll cut down on shampoo/conditioner costs, and headaches!!! I'm excited and a little nervous. This will be happening within the next month or so.
I don't really have anything else to say. I'm going out with friends tomorrow... Seeing Jeff Dunham (the comedian) live next week with Kim (girl on my floor).
I'll write again over the weekend!
xoxo

Day one!!!!

Hello Family and Friends!!!
I've opted to make a blog so that I can keep everyone informed of whats going on in my life! Especially now that I'm out of the house and living in Bozeman, Montana (700 miles away!!!)
So let me get you all up to speed!!!
I've started college at Montana State University, I'm in my second semester as a part time student. I absolutley hate going part time, I'm taking two classes... I'M SO BORED!!! My major is Nursing and possibly minoring in Women's Studies. I live in the dorm with a roommate (Sierra). We get along quite well, but she only just moved in so I'm reserving any judgement (I jumped to conclusions with my last roommate and it was a disaster).
I work part time at Bath and Body Works, it's not bringing in any money by the way. My last paycheck was $6.91... Pathetic!!! So, this weekend I will be hunting for another job or four. Wish me luck.
I don't have a lot more to say... I'll keep you updated as things go on. The picture above is one I took tonight. It's absolutley amazing sunset. Enjoy!!!
xoxo
