1 Year After Exchanging Leis

The last 12 months have been... well... insane I guess is the best word for it.
Shortly after getting married we discovered we were pregnant and from there it was a whirlwind of life.

The past 12 months have been wonderful- married life has thus far been a dream. No, I'm not saying that its easy or that everything is perfect. What I am saying is that being in a partnership makes life a little bit more... conquerable. Yes we have our disagreements and our fights but in the end we know it's okay, we're still going to love each other and the sun will still rise.

Adding parenthood on top of everything in this last year has been a challenge, but I feel we have taken it in stride. Again, knowing that our partnership is strong and we are there for each other helps us get through each day of ups and downs.

Being married didn't change too much in our relationship- we still live together, we still pay our bills together, everything seems the same on the outside. Really it just strengthened us. Our vows weren't just words. Well they were, but they weren't just thrown out there without thought. They had deep meaning that we carry every day.

One year ago we became an Ohana through the exchanging of vows and leis in the spirit of Aloha.
Aloha Aku No, Aloha Mai No
