Today at 4pm central time, my beloved grandmother,
Dorothy Gilbert,
passed away after an almost 30 year battle with various cancers.
She is already greatly missed, and always loved.
I love you Grandma.

Survived
I have survived the first day of classes. I've gone home and am now chilling and writing. Yeah, I should be doing some reading; but I've opted to take a few minutes to relax and play with Winry (who's now asleep in my hood.
Being a history major could be the best thing that has happened to me! There's no falling asleep and wondering why the hell I'm doing this, its all interesting! Classical/Christian Euro History may be a bit "boring" but thats only because of the woman who teaches the class... doesn't really know how to talk to a group, but hey, the actual content is really interesting.
Winry got moved up to my room, not sure if my one roommate even likes her, L loves her though! The dynamic of the apartment is interesting. Me and L are really laid back. K is a little on egg shells. I don't know either of them very well so I'm not passing judgement. Basically, my thing is: I clean my dishes when I use them, clean up the kitchen when I use it, wipe down the bathroom after I've showered, keep my room fairly clean, keep my stuff limited in the living room, and vacuum when needed. I think this is a fair way to live, and I think the other girls should too. Theres talk of chores... not sure I like that... but we'll see how it works out.

Dad in town
Dad got into Pullman today, and it has been awesome.
He brought out a bike for me, and all my bedding (because I'm retarded and forgot it...), and some other random things I had forgotten! We went out to dinner, where the service sucked, but the food was good. And then we invaded a friends apartment with crisps (chips) and pop! It was fun to just chill and laugh.
Tonight, Dad is sleeping in my room, and I'm on the couch. Don't want my roommates to come home tonight and be freaked out by some old guy on the living room couch. Although it could be fairly entertaining.
The heat has lessened a little bit out here, not substantially but definitely a little bit.
Its late so I'll write more later.

Still no garbage can
I moved into my new apartment on Friday, its Tuesday and I still don't have a garbage can... oh well, a bag works just as well!
I can't believe its already tuesday, that's crazy to me! This weekend has just flown by and I guess that's a good thing. My room is almost completely settled in, Winry has a bigger and better new cage (that she loves!), and I'm waiting for my third roommate to move in at the end of the week.
Its really hot in Pullman and there doesn't seem to be a break in sight. I guess thats ok for now.
My books keep arriving in groups. I bought them off Amazon.com for the first time and some of them are absolute crap books, but they have the information I need so I'm just thankful to have gotten them at reasonable price.
I don't have too much to say, I'm just rambling now. Sorry! I'll write again soon.

Family Vacation
Tomorrow we leave for Ocean Shores, (yes, I literally just came back from there) and I couldn't be more excited! When I say we, I mean my family. I'm very excited to go on vacation with them and enjoy some time of town. I'll make sure to post pictures of our trip!
